My journey began with Dr. Z the year I turned 40. I'd just endured a major, life-changing spine surgery. After repeated procedures to help with chronic pain I was suffering, I looked in the mirror one day and didn't recognize who I was anymore. I'd accepted I would never be the athlete I once was, but I struggled with the aging on my face from the trauma. I saw Dr. Z's billboard on my way home from work and called immediately to make an appointment.
